Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Promotion of the culture, traditions, excursions while supporting the regional individuals who engaged in tourism.
The hotel takes part in hosting charity projects for the community. The garden of the Cancer hospital in Kandy is maintained by the hotel and several other activities such as donating stationery for the school children, awareness programs about the "5s" routines, etc., are conducted.

A neighbouring ancient temple is supported by the hotel whenever there is a special religious ceremony. At this time a conciderble sum of the expenses is borne by the hotel. Also, a special almsgiving to the "Theros", is made on a monthly basis, under the direct supervision of the hotel managment.
