The name is taken from the mile long stretch of lawn that sits alongside the hotel: Galle Face Green is a focal point of the city. The hotel was built by British entrepreneurs and is the only Heritage city hotel that overlooks the Indian Ocean.
As an extensive restoration project nears completion, the hotel's Southern Wing will reopen its doors to offer uncluttered elegance, sophistication and superlative service.
