Rafter's Retreat is for those who love adventure and nature. The sounds of the river, chirping birds and the noise of crickets all resonate and everything suddenly seems to be at a standstill. The everyday noise of vehicles passing and tooting horns are no longer heard. It is not in a forest, but the setting is close to one.
Facilities & Services
Most of the vegetables come from home gardens in the vicinity. The wooden tables and chairs, not forgetting even the lamp shades, are all eco-friendly innovations.
The Kelani river entices you to take a dip in its cool waters, while the more adventurous go White Water Rafting. Jungle trekking in ‘Bandara Kale’ - a nearby forest, mountain biking, bird watching, visiting caves once inhabited by Stone Age men are the other myriad attractions awaiting the visitor and can all be covered in a two-day stay at Rafter’s Retreat.
Facilities for Ayurvedic therapy are available.
