Sri Lanka - the Hidden Pearl

DAY 1: You will be met and greeted at the airport, then transfer to Uswatakeiyawa (about 10 minutes). Spend the rest of the day at the beach. The warm yet soft waves will relax you as they wash over your feet while you walk on the beach. Enjoy your favourite drink while gazing at the setting sun over the west coast; or else free your self and swim in the warm salt waters. Overnight stay at the Olenka Sunside Beach Hotel.

DAY 2: Enjoy a full day at the beach.

DAY 3: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed straight to Kandy. Check in at Hotel Topaz and take a short rest before you proceed on a site seeing tour in the sacred city. In the evening proceed on a site seeing tour around Kandy. Kandy... this royal city, sheltered by the hills and looped by the Mahaweli - Sri Lanka's longest river, still holds religious and cultural significance. A stroll around the sleepy, but serene Kandy Lake, where balmy winds waft across, a walk through the Royal Botanical Gardens located at Peradeniya and a visit to the University of Peradeniya - the spacious green campus laid out near the banks of the Mahaweli is a must for any visitor to Kandy the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Late evening witness a cultural Kandiyan dance performance. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 4: After breakfast is leisurely taken, check out from the hotel and proceed through winding routes to the mystic peaks of Nuwara Eliya. Check in at Windsor Hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Nuwara Eliya is famous as the "Little England" for its refreshing climate. Sit closer to the hotel fire place and enjoy that rum while listening in to piped classical music. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed straight to Colombo via Kitulgala. Pass the rapid Kelani River where the famous movie "The Bridge of the River Kwai" has filmed. Kitulgala is famous among all the light adventure lovers for white water rafting. Check in at Asian Villa Hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening go on a site seeing tour around the busy routes of Colombo. Sri Lanka's capital up to recent times, spread along the shore of the Indian Ocean for some miles, where business and commerce begin and end.

Take in The Cinnamon Gardens and the Pettah, Colombo's busiest and most traditional bazaar area. Visit the Hindu temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatagaha mosque and the Ganagaramaya Temple. While the city holds less obvious interest than many other parts of the island, it's still a colorful enough place and worth a visit to see what makes Sri Lanka tick. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 6: After breakfast and according to the flight details proceed to the airport for departure.
